History

Jetstream started life as Streamline, an abstract puzzle game developed as part of the Ludum Dare 34 competition in December 2015. After placing 8th overall in the competition and 4th in the fun category, out of 1231 entries, the team made some improvements to the prototype and showed it around for feedback.

Clockwork Acorn decided to use the prototype as the basis for a full game, and at the beginning of 2017 production began in earnest on the game. The game’s theme changed to be about a plane flying around and took on the new name Jetstream.

Production on Jetstream continued and in April 2019, together with the support of the game’s publisher Noodlecake, it was released on Steam and other desktop platforms. Development on the mobile port continued, although it hit a number of roadblocks as time passed. There is currently no announced release date for Jetstream on mobile.
